We design for capability, resilience, and scrutiny under real-world constraints, pioneering quantum-resistant security that defends against today's AI-driven threats and tomorrow's quantum computing revolution.
QuantumViva is contrarian: we start endpoint first, local first, and audit first in a cloud SaaS world. Where the default is connectivity and convenience, we choose capability, local resilience, transparent forensics, and scrutiny under real-world constraints.
Hybrid classical and post-quantum cryptography ensures your data remains secure today and in the quantum era.
Our core engine (QVCORE) is designed for readiness to submit for regulatory compliance.
Standalone, single-user, no cloud dependency. Security lives in the application, a genuinely contrarian stance in a SaaS-soaked world, and a principled one.
"QVU is PGP for the post-quantum era — category-defining, designed for regulatory alignment, built for a market waking up to quantum risk. It reimagines email, chat, and file management for a secure future." — Brent Smith, CEO & Co-Founder

Ed25519 (Hybrid) + ML-DSA-65 (post-quantum) for authentication
AES-256-GCM for maximum data protection
ASiC-E (ETSI standard) for signed, timestamped file transfers
PGP for the post-quantum era
QVU is designed to be the first user-centric tool that puts quantum-resistant security in the hands of every Windows user. QVU is the first integrated Windows 11 desktop application combining vault, communications, and endpoint monitoring with hybrid classical/post-quantum cryptography.
We're building a quantum-resilient secure vault and communications platform from a rigorous four-layer architecture, working from a substantial SRS, protocol baseline, and engineering resource register. Deep technical ownership, specification-driven delivery, and clear documentation are non-negotiable.
Technical Lead
Lead the build of QVCore — the native security engine. Own Layer 1 architecture and implementation, SQLCipher-backed storage, cryptographic engineering, and the technical standards across the four-layer model. Manage and mentor engineers as the team grows.
Collaborative Contributor
Work alongside the Technical Lead to build QVCore features and storage integrations. A strong, collaborative role that rewards clear documentation, careful delivery against specification, and dependable engineering — without needing to own architecture decisions independently.
IPC/FFI Specialist
Own the boundary between QVCore and the desktop client. Design and implement the Layer 2 IPC/FFI gateway that makes the native core safely consumable by higher layers through a stable, memory-safe, testable contract — with hands-on cryptographic experience at the boundary.
Desktop UI Owner
Own the QVU desktop UI shell. Turn written requirements and designs into a secure, responsive PySide6 client that treats QVCore as a service — without owning secrets or protocol state. Guide and review the Mid-Level PySide6 Engineer.
Desktop UI Engineer
Help build out the QVU desktop UI shell under the Senior PySide6 Engineer. Implement screens, workflows, and components from detailed designs and specifications, growing your skills in IPC-facing desktop engineering as you take on more independent work.
Self-Hosted Infrastructure
Build, self-host, and run QuantumViva's collaboration and business platform on Blacknight-hosted infrastructure. Own the entire self-hosted operational stack — Forgejo, Nextcloud Hub, NextERP — from the server up. Our internal tooling choices are part of our security posture and threat model.
